Turtlebot Traffic Sign Navigation
The video shows the simulation of a mobile robot (turtlebot) moving according to the traffic signs. The robot was controlled by a fully autonomous mobile robot driving program. The robot showed in the video was able to move according to the driving laws/rules .
Driving rules set in the system controlling the robot are as follows:-
The signs “turn left/right/go straight” are mandatory.
The signs of “No left/right turn” prohibit the robot from moving to that direction, but it may move to any other directions as it wishes.
The sign of “No entry” are placed next to, and face perpendicular to the road which prohibits the robot from entering.
The robot will stop when a “stop” signal is given to it, turn (approximately) 90 degree at the junction to any direction dictated to it, and continue its journey.
